Kodagu, better known as Coorg, is a high plateau in the Western Ghats where coffee grows in the shade of rosewood and pepper vines climb every trunk. Mornings begin below the cloud line and end with the smell of roasting beans. It is India at its slowest and greenest: estate bungalows, Kodava kitchens, and rivers that fall off the escarpment in three directions.
